Want to audition for Tufts' oldest all-female a cappella group? Now's your chance!
Auditions will be held on Tuesday, September 7 and Wednesday, September 8 in the evening. Email jacksonjills@gmail.com to set up an audition time! We are all very excited to hear you!
For your audition, you'll need to prepare the verse and chorus of a song of your choosing to perform for us!
What to expect at your audition:
The audition, which should take a total of about 10 – 15 minutes, is broken up into 3 parts:
1) Warm-up. We'll have you sing a few scales to start off and get an idea of your vocal range.
2) Pitch-matching. We'll play a series of notes and ask you to sing that series back to us.
3) Solo. Sing a verse and a chorus of any song that you like! It is important to pick a song that you feel comfortable singing. If you have fun during your solo, then we will, too!
Auditions are held in the Jills room in Curtis Hall, at the corner of Boston Ave and College ave, directly above Brown and Brew!
